School of Humanities

In the four departments of the Faculty of Humanities, numerous fieldwork activities are incorporated where students visit the actual sites being studied, and carry out information collection activities such as interviews, surveys, and material collection. With programs like "Overseas Study" in the Department of International Studies, "Cultural Physical Expression" in the Department of Japanese and Comparative Culture, "Social Survey Practice" in the Department of Sociology and Human Welfare, and "Welfare Internship" in the Department of Social Work, students are able to have hands-on experiences, and acquire a wide range of general knowledge and specialized skills. Centered around experiential learning, we cultivate expertise based on humanities, and the ability to actively engage in problem-solving.
