1964	The opening of Meisei University (Faculty of Science and Engineering) with its first president, Kudama Hisashi.
1965	Establishment of the Faculty of Humanities.
1966	Addition of the Department of Economics to the Faculty of Humanities.
1967	Establishment of the Department of Psychology and Education in Distance Learning.
1971	Establishment of the Graduate School of Humanities.
1972	Establishment of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering.
1982	Opening of the Tokyo Lincoln Center.
1983	Establishment of the Postwar Education History Research Center and the Information Science Research Center.
1984 《The 20th Anniversary of the Foundation》	Opening of the Taro Cosmic Ray Observation Center and the same Mining History Museum.
1985	Establishment of the Material Research Center.
1989	Establishment of the Foreign Language Center (currently, International Studies Center).
1992	Establishment of the Faculty of Information Sciences and the Faculty of Japanese Culture at Ome Campus.
1994 《The 30th Anniversary of the Foundation》	Opening of building No. 21 (Meisei Shakespeare Hall).
1995	Completion of building No. 22 (New University Hall).
1998	Establishment of the Graduate School of Information Science.
1999	Opening of the master's program in the Graduate School of Humanities in Distance Education.
2000	The Department of Living Arts in the Faculty of Japanese Culture was changed to the Department of Plastic Arts.
2001	Restructuring the Department of Economics in the Faculty of Humanities into the Department of Economics in the Faculty of Economics. Establishment of the Psychological Counseling Center.
2002	Establishment of a social welfare worker certification course in the Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Humanities. Completion of building No. 23.
2003	The Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Humanities was renamed to the Department of Human Social Science. Establishment of a childcare worker training course in the Department of Psychology and Education in the Faculty of Humanities. Establishment of the Teacher Qualification Center (currently, Teacher Center).
2004 《The 40th Anniversary of the Foundation》	Completion of buildings No. 24 and No. 25 (Gymnasium), and the new main building (Administration Building).
2005	Restructuring of faculties and departments: Mechanical System Engineering, Electrical and Electronic System Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental System Science were established in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The Department of International Communication was established in the Faculty of Humanities. The Department of Business Administration was established in the Faculty of Economics. The Department of Information Sciences was established in the Faculty of Information Sciences (the Faculty of Information Sciences was relocated to Hino Campus). The Department of Plastic Arts was established in the Faculty of Plastic Arts. Establishment of the Student Life and Career Support Center, and Learning Support Center.
2006	Establishment of the Graduate School of Economics. Establishment of the doctorate program in the Graduate School of Humanities.
2007	Completion of buildings No. 27, No. 28, No. 29, and No. 30.
2008	Establishment of the Comprehensive Health Center and the Volunteer Center.
2009	Establishment of the Collaboration Research Center.
2010	Restructuring of faculties and departments: The Department of Education was established in the Faculty of Education (restructure of the Education Division in the Department of Psychology and Education in the Faculty of Humanities). The Department of Japanese Culture was established in the Faculty of Humanities (restructure of the Department of Language and Culture in the Faculty of Japanese Culture). The Department of Welfare Practice was established in the Faculty of Humanities. The Department of Psychology was established in the Faculty of Humanities (restructure of the Psychology Division in the Department of Psychology and Education). The Department of Integrated Science and Engineering was established in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The Department of Education was established in the Distance Learning Program (restructure of the Education Division in the Department of Psychology and Education in the Faculty of Humanities). Establishment of the Student Support Center (integration of Student Affairs, Student Life and Career Support Center, Learning Support Center). The Employment Section was renamed to the Career Center. The Meisei Education Center of Meisei University was established. The Teacher and Qualification Center was restructured into the Education and Teaching Center of the Faculty of Education. Completion of building No. 31 and its use as the Student Clubhouse (Nickname: Ponte).
2012	Restructuring of Faculties and Departments: Establishment of the Faculty of Business Administration (restructure of the Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Economics).
2014 《The 50th Anniversary of the Foundation》	Restructuring of Faculties and Departments: The Faculty of Design was established (restructure of the Department of Plastic Arts in the Faculty of Plastic Arts). Establishment of the Development Support Research Center. Conducting the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Foundation of Meisei University.
2015	Completion of buildings No. 32 and No. 33. Establishment of the Regional Exchange Center. Establishment of the Universal Design Center.
2016	The Education and Teaching Center of the Faculty of Education was renamed to the Teacher Center.
2017	Establishment of the Faculty of Psychology (restructure of the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Humanities).
2020	Establishment of the Faculty of Architecture (restructure of the Architecture Sector in the Department of Integrated Science and Engineering in the Faculty of Science and Engineering). Establishment of the Graduate School of Psychology (restructure of the Department of Psychology in the Graduate School of Humanities). Establishment of the International Communication Major in the Graduate School of Humanities (restructure of the English and American Literature Major in the Graduate School of Humanities).
